The Mayor of San Miguel de Salinas, Angel Saez, was present at the stone laying ceremony for the Villamartin Hills retirement complex on the 21st April 2007 which is under construction by well known local construction company Sitara.

The Mayor said he was very pleased to be part of the ceremony as he felt the complex would provide an important service. He stressed that the project had the Town Hall's total support and that everything was completely legal.
