Having sold many properties over the past 30 years, in various parts of Spain, we have a vast experience to guide you in your search for the perfect retirement property. This can be for your retirement or for investment if you have not retired yet, or are under 55.

During the early 2000’s we carried out a survey across the UK with the over 55’s to ascertain what facilities and amenities would they consider necessary for an ideal retirement home in Spain. This included what was considered the best location and facilities required. With this information carefully analysed, we relayed it to the best Spanish developers for them to plan an idyllic retirement complex. We believe we have now finally found this ideal retirement complex in Costa Almeria. It is situated between Mojacar and the city of Almeria, on the seafront, within an 18-hole golf course, yet not far from one of Spain’s beautiful National Parks.

The complex will be built during 2020. There will be 2-bedroom apartments of various sizes and all having patios, with ground floor apartments having a garden area and the top floor apartments with roof solariums.

All apartments will have sea views. There are wooden walkways and cycling paths between the palm trees which lead to the beach. The complex will consist of 78 apartments along with covered, heated swimming pool, gardens, allotment and 2 Petanque (boules) courts. There is a communal area with a fully-equipped gym, TV area, reading room and a community barbecue.

An essential part of choosing a retirement complex is knowing whether there are personal care facilities should they be needed. The retirement complex will include a medical centre, a hair and beauty salon and apartment cleaning services and more.

Included within the community fees is:

Full access to the social area, the TV room, the reading room, fully equipped gym, skype room, swimming pool, boules courts, gardening and allotment areas. One visit to the doctor, one hairdressing appointment each month and a monthly cleaning of your apartment is included, but you can have additional services if required. The community fee will be approximately €140 per month.

Other facilities available on request: physiotherapist, personal trainer in the gym, daily menu of home meals, laundry and ironing service, additional cleaning service, regular transport service to Almeria city, companion services, nursing services, translation facilities and beautician services.

24-hour Security

Most importantly, there will be 24-hour security for your peace of mind.

All the facilities you may require are close by including the hospital. The airport is only a 10-minute drive away, and there is a car transfer service on the complex available as well.

We believe we have now found the ideal retirement complex to be built by a well-respected and experienced developer. This, together with a reputable Spanish sole agency, Silver Homes who are based in Almeria and have over 50 years experience selling properties to their Spanish clients.

You can rent your property out to over 55s until you need it for yourselves or purely as an investment for income and capital growth. There will be a letting service available within the complex.

Viewing Trips

Once you have confirmed your flight arrangements, just let us know the dates and we will arrange your hotel accommodation for your stay. You will be met at the airport in Spain and taken to your hotel. Arrangements will then be made for you to be shown around.

Bank Guaranteed Deposit

If you would then like to go ahead and reserve a specific property which you will be able to identify from the plans, you will be asked to make a deposit of €2,000 which will be fully Bank Guaranteed and refundable should you decide not to proceed. The reservation deposit could be made on your return to the UK if you prefer.

Personal Consultancy Service

Interested in purchasing a property in Spain, but do not have the time or knowledge to source the property or know the areas? Then let me do the groundwork for you.

My name is James Reeves and over many years I have spent a considerable amount of time in many different locations throughout Spain, especially on the Costas but in some inland locations as well.

I have got to know these areas very well and have many direct contacts with Spanish property consultants as well as agents and developers.

I am willing to carry out the groundwork for you to find your property in Spain. All I would require is some idea of your preferred area or location, if you know the area you want, together with your ideal type of property and the amount you wish to spend.

I have very good contacts for English-speaking Spanish solicitors who will look after your interests before you commit or go ahead with the purchase of a Spanish property. They will deal with your potential purchase in the same way as a UK solicitor carrying out due diligence on your behalf.

There is so much more I can advise you on about buying a property in Spain, but I will leave that until later when you contact me and we can discuss your requirements. My initial fee would be dependant on the area I would need to cover, the time involved, and your property choices. My aim is to ultimately prepare a short list of suitable properties according to your criteria for you to then view personally.
